TRYING ON NEW BOOTS
Wherever possible, try on boots at an Altberg retailer or at the Altberg Factory Shop, and get advice about boot type and potential usage.
When trying boots on, always wear the same type of sock that you intend to use with the boots. Altberg recommend use of merino wool socks, which come in different thickness/weights, ask the advice of a specialist retailer.
If it is not possible to try on boots before buying, you should be aware that that there is an element of uncertainty in getting the right size. When you receive the boots try them on inside the house, on carpet. If you are unsure about the correct fit, do not wear them outside.
Remember, the retailer may offer advice, but the final choice of boot selection and sizing remains absolutely with the customer.

RETURNS & EXCHANGES
What is your returns policy?
Boots may be returned to us for an exchange, credit or a full refund if they are unworn, in absolute brand new condition, with tags and original packaging. Please note, we do not refund postage costs on boots returned for reasons of fit or suitability. Any remedial work to bring boots back to new condition will be charged for. The foregoing does not affect your statutory consumer rights.
Can I send the boots back if I change my mind, or if I decide they are not suitable, or don’t fit?
As long as the boots have not been worn outside, and are still in absolute new condition, with all packaging, we will exchange, credit, or refund. Please note exceptions are ‘non-standard’ boots that have been specially made to customer requirements – separate terms and conditions apply, and must be read, accepted and signed prior to order being processed.
- Send the boots back within 14 days of receipt
- Postage charges are non-refundable
- Where an exchange is requested, return postage will be charged at a reduced rate of £4.00 per delivery
- Boots that have been worn outside cannot be returned for reasons of fit or suitability
How long will an exchange take?
Between 48 hours and 4 weeks, depending on stock availability. We will advise availability and timescales at the time of exchange.
