DESCRIPTION
The first Base Boot was developed in 2008 by the Altberg Senior Bootmaker, for his own use whilst on a walking safari in Botswana, and later on summer hikes in UK and Europe. The boot is very breathable (does not have a waterproof barrier lining). The sole and midsole give excellent support on a wide range of terrains and conditions. The materials and components are the same specification as Altberg's desert boots, which have been used for the past 25 years by soldiers in some of the harshest places on the planet.
